Workers Free includes 100,000 requests per day with 10ms CPU per invocation. Workers Paid has a US$5 monthly account minimum, 10 million requests and 30 million CPU milliseconds included monthly, then metered request and CPU charges.
Free and Paid core pricing
- Free: 100,000 Worker requests per day and 10ms CPU per invocation
- Paid: minimum US$5 per account per month
- Paid includes 10 million requests and 30 million CPU milliseconds per month
- Overage: US$0.30 per additional million requests and US$0.02 per additional million CPU milliseconds
CPU time is not wall-clock duration
CPU time measures active computation; waiting for fetch, KV, or database I/O does not count. Paid HTTP invocations default to a 30-second CPU ceiling configurable up to five minutes, while memory remains 128MB on both plans.
When Free is enough
- Personal prototypes and low-traffic APIs stay below the daily request limit
- Each invocation consistently stays under 10ms CPU
- The 50-subrequest and 3MB compressed Worker limits fit
- A Free-limit failure is acceptable and tested before production
When Paid becomes necessary
- Daily traffic can exceed 100,000 requests
- Authentication, SSR, parsing, image or compute work regularly needs more than 10ms CPU
- You need up to 10,000 subrequests, a 10MB compressed Worker, more Cron Triggers, or longer logs
- Predictable production availability matters more than avoiding the US$5 minimum
Cost-control checklist
- Separate Worker requests, CPU time, KV, D1, Durable Objects, Queues, logs and other products in the estimate
- Set a per-invocation CPU limit in Wrangler or the dashboard
- Review usage and invocation errors before campaigns or migrations
- Remember that Workers Paid is separate from Cloudflare Free, Pro, or Business zone plans
