How to cancel NordVPN and request a refund
Separate auto-renewal cancellation from the 30-day first-purchase refund, then follow the correct route for web, Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or reseller billing.
Turning off NordVPN auto-renewal stops a future eligible renewal but does not itself request a refund. NordVPN's 30-day money-back guarantee applies to eligible first subscription purchases, not ordinary renewals unless local law requires otherwise.
Cancellation and refund are separate actions
- Cancel auto-renewal when you want service to end after the paid term
- Request a refund separately when an eligible first purchase is within 30 days
- A renewal payment is generally outside the 30-day guarantee
- Keep the cancellation email and refund-status confirmation
Cancel a direct web subscription
- Sign in to Nord Account and open Billing
- Choose cancel next to auto-renewal and confirm
- Verify that auto-renewal now shows off
- Check the confirmation email and the remaining service end date
Request an eligible refund
- Contact NordVPN support through official live chat
- Open the verified refund link and review eligible payments
- Submit the reason and confirm the refund summary
- Monitor Billing history for Refund processing and Refunded; bank arrival can take up to 10 business days
The purchase channel decides the route
- Apple App Store purchases follow Apple's refund and cancellation process
- Google Play refunds can be requested through NordVPN support when eligible; recent payments may also use Google Play's route
- Amazon Appstore purchases require Amazon support
- Retailer, marketplace, gift-card, or reseller purchases must be handled with that seller
Korea user checklist
- Record purchase date, payment channel, plan, amount, currency, tax and renewal date
- Cancel well before renewal rather than relying on a last-minute refund
- Do not confuse deleting the app or account with stopping billing
- Use only Nord Account and official support links; never send credentials to a third party
